Reindeer Stew!

Trying to embrace our inner Norwegian, Rasmus and I decided to have some reindeer stew, which is apparently quite common here. We didn't make it with all of the traditional ingredients, but it still turned out delicious. We bought some frozen reindeer meat at the supermarket:

Got some carrots, celery, scallions, and mushrooms. Rasmus did most of the cutting, but I pealed the carrots like a pro.
Rasmus cutting up veggies really fast
He started it off with a bit of butter, some garlic, thyme, black pepper, and some of the bacon jerky I brought from the U.S. for flavor:

Next, came the meat, beef stock,  and some scallions:

And then the water, veggies, and, of course, a touch of salt:

stir and simmer simmer simmer......

And there you are, a hearty bowl of reindeer stew!
mmmmmmm.......
